Steam

Enable the multilib repository

sudo vim /etc/pacman.conf

Uncomment:

[multilib]
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

Make sure to uncomment both [multilib] and Include = ...

Install Steam

sudo pacman -S steam

• The first launch should be done from the terminal using steam. Then log in.
• Check that compatibility settings are enabled (by default they should be): Steam → Settings → Compatibility → Default Compatibility Tool (Proton Experimental enabled by default – Path of Exile works).
• Close Steam, you can now launch it normally.

Downloading games

For example, with Path of Exile (PoE)

Simply download the game from your Steam library. It should launch without issues, except if the graphics drivers are missing (see Drivers section in Gaming).
